The Jay Pee Chaff Museum of Prairie Grasses was created in an abandoned fire station in Chicago’s west loop. It was a collaborative project with artist Joe Matunis. My contribution took the form of a museum that could be seen as an allegorical struggle between weeds (non-productive homeless men who lived in the building) and cash crops (young urban professionals who were moving in to the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood).
